How milestack makes money
From referral codes in a few app guides, and never from the ranking.
Referral codes in app guides
Some apps reward a member when a friend signs up with their referral code. A few of milestack's app guides show milestack's code, and if you sign up with it, milestack gets that app's reward for it. You get the app's new-user bonus, the same as with anyone's code.
These guides show milestack's code today:
It never changes the ranking
Which way to pay comes first, the order of the others and what's shown are worked out the same way whether an app has a code or not. The part of milestack that ranks never sees referral codes or rewards, and a test checks that every ranking is identical with them and without them. The "Set up" links look the same for every app.
A code is always your choice
Every guide works without a code. Where one can go in, the guide says so once: use milestack's code, use a friend's, or skip it. Nothing is filled in or copied for you. Where an app's own sign-up code gives you more, the guide shows that one first, even though milestack then gets nothing.
Each app's own rules
- heymax: no self-referral and no gaming the scheme.
- Kris+: the guide links to the app stores, never to krisplus.com.
- ShopBack: its referral link sits only in its labelled box, never behind a download button; no search or keyword ads lead to a page with its link; nothing goes on the pages of shops that use ShopBack.
What milestack doesn't do
No ads, no sponsored stacks and no paid placement. No cookies, and no tracking of who uses a code: milestack sees sign-ups only in each app, like any member. No link shorteners, and no referral links for credit cards. Store buttons go straight to the App Store and Google Play. Milestack's codes are checked every three months and come down when an app's terms change.
Something wrong in a guide?
The app and its own terms are the final word. If milestack says something different, tell milestack.
