What it does in your stack
ShopBack Pay lets you pay at the counter inside the ShopBack app. Your card sees an online payment, which some miles cards reward, and ShopBack adds cashback on top. At many shops it's return cashback, which you get when you visit the same brand again.
Get the app
Download ShopBack: Cashback & Rewards. Check the maker, so you get the real one.
"ShopBack for Business - Staff" is the app for shop staff, not this one. You want the one made by eCommerce Enablers (ShopBack).
Open ShopBack and tap Sign Up.
Using a referral code is up to you. It goes in when you tap Sign Up, before your mobile number: tap "I have a referral or reward code". It can't be added once your account exists.
You can:
Use milestack's link.
Milestack's referral linkhttps://app.shopback.com/mDSGmdfGC7bYou get S$5 bonus cashback once you've spent S$20 through ShopBack and had S$10 of your own cashback confirmed, within 180 days of signing up.
Milestack gets S$5 bonus cashback for each friend who qualifies, because it earns from this link.
Use a friend's code instead, if a friend uses ShopBack. You get the same with theirs.
Skip it. Everything else in this guide works the same without a code.
Enter your mobile number and the one-time code ShopBack sends you by SMS, WhatsApp or a call. Be quick: it times out in about 30 seconds.
Go to Account and add a payment method. Add your miles card as the card itself, not through Apple Pay: some cards, like Citi Rewards, earn no bonus on Apple Pay inside an app.
ShopBack takes Singapore-issued Visa and Mastercard. Amex doesn't work for ShopBack Pay.

Paying with ShopBack Pay
Look for the ShopBack sign at the counter, then open ShopBack and scan the shop's QR.
Check the amount matches your bill.
Check the payment method is your miles card itself, not Apple Pay or GrabPay.
Swipe to pay. Your cashback shows as Pending.
Mistakes that cost miles
Tapping your card on the terminal instead. That's a normal in-store payment, even with a ShopBack card-linked offer, and it misses the online bonus. Scan the QR and pay in the app.
Paying with Apple Pay or GrabPay inside the app. Apple Pay loses the bonus on some cards, and GrabPay doesn't charge your card at all.
Using an Amex. It isn't accepted for ShopBack Pay.
Forgetting that credits go first. ShopBack takes any store credit and cashback off the bill before your card, so your card earns only on what's left.
Not going back. Return cashback is paid only when you visit the same brand again, so it's worth nothing if you don't.
A big bill at a shop whose card category isn't known. ShopBack Pay usually keeps the shop's own category, but not always.
